* “Up to €500” is a maximum, not an average. When you switch electricity or gas, it is made up of two separate parts: your cashback – the savings that come straight from the cheaper tariff (you pay less; it is not paid out) – and our extra switching bonus, which we pay from our own brokerage commission (up to €50 per new electricity or gas contract, paid into your account). How much you save depends on your current contract, your consumption and where you live. Bonuses are only available when you switch electricity or gas – there is no bonus for insurance (§ 48b VAG).
Questions about switching electricity and gas
How do I find my annual consumption in kWh?
It's on your last annual bill, usually on the first or second page under “consumption” (Verbrauch). If you don't have it to hand, simply choose your household size or living space in the form – we'll calculate with a guide value.
Will my electricity or gas be cut off when I switch?
No. Your supply continues without interruption. The new provider usually cancels your old contract and handles the registration.
What is the difference between cashback and bonus?
Cashback is your saving that comes straight from the cheaper tariff: you simply pay less for electricity or gas – it is not paid out. The bonus comes on top, from us: we pay it from our own brokerage commission and transfer it to your account after the cancellation period – up to €50 per new electricity or gas contract.
How much is the bonus for switching electricity or gas?
