Bonus terms (cashback)
In short: if a new electricity or gas contract is concluded through us and remains in place beyond the cancellation period, you receive your bonus – automatically and without any proof. There is no bonus for insurance.
The German version is binding. This translation is only meant to make it easier to understand. Go to the German version
1. When are you entitled to the bonus?
The bonus becomes due once all of the following conditions are met:
- You submitted your request via this website.
- A new electricity or gas contract with a provider is concluded as a result of this request.
- The provider or our cooperation partner has confirmed the conclusion of the contract to us.
- The cancellation period has expired without the contract being withdrawn from, terminated or reversed.
2. No need to upload invoices
You do not have to upload invoices or contract documents. We confirm the conclusion of the contract and the end of the cancellation period directly with the provider or our partner. You can check the current status in your customer portal at any time.
3. Bonus amount
- Electricity: up to €50 per new electricity contract
- Gas: up to €50 per new gas contract
The exact amount for your contract is stated with the quote and shown in the customer portal.
Where does the bonus come from? We pay you the bonus on top – out of our own brokerage commission, which we receive from the provider or our cooperation partner for the contract. Your cashback is separate: that is the saving that comes directly from the cheaper tariff – you pay less for electricity or gas. We do not pay out this saving; it is built into the lower price of the new tariff.
Insurance: there is no bonus, no cashback and no other benefit. The German Insurance Supervision Act (§ 48b VAG) generally prohibits passing commissions on to insurance customers or granting them special benefits. Likewise, there is no bonus for property, financing or business customers.
4. Status in the customer portal
- Reserved: your request has been received or the contract is still within the cancellation period.
- Confirmed & payable: the contract is active and the cancellation period has expired.
- Paid out: we have transferred the bonus to your account.
5. Payout
We transfer the bonus within 14 days of it reaching the status “Confirmed & payable” to the IBAN you have stored in your customer portal. If no IBAN is stored, the bonus remains reserved for you until you add one.
6. No bonus in case of
- withdrawal, termination or reversal of the contract within the cancellation period – even if you cancel it via our cancellation service (we will point this out to you before you cancel),
- contracts that were not concluded as a result of a request made through us,
- incorrect information or misuse.
If you only end our support mandate, you keep your bonus – the contract itself continues.
7. Brokering of insurance
MeinVertragsPlus acts as a referrer (“Tippgeber”) and does not broker insurance itself. Advice, quotes and brokering are provided exclusively by our cooperation partner PFS Professional Financial Solutions GmbH (insurance broker authorised under § 34d(1) GewO, registration number D-V1KE-1FHKK-50). We do not pay any bonus for insurance and do not pass on commissions to customers (§ 48b VAG).
8. Other provisions
The bonus is a voluntary benefit from MeinVertragsPlus and not part of your contract with the provider. We may change these terms for future requests; requests already submitted are subject to the terms in force at the time of the request. The German version of these terms is binding.
